When Doubt Visits a Believer

Thomas gets remembered as 'doubting Thomas,' as if his doubt disqualified him. But look closer: Jesus didn't rebuke him for asking to see the wounds. He showed up specifically to answer the doubt. Doubt brought honestly to God is not the opposite of faith — it's often the beginning of a deeper one.

What disqualifies us isn't the question. It's refusing to bring the question anywhere near God, choosing instead to quietly walk away from Him while pretending everything is fine.

If doubt has visited you, don't perform certainty you don't feel. Bring the actual question. He's not intimidated by it, and He's answered harder ones than yours.
