Teaching Your Son to Lead

We tend to think leadership is something you teach a teenager with a big talk about responsibility. In reality, it's taught in small daily moments — how he treats his sister, whether he owns his mistakes, how he speaks when he's frustrated.

A son learns to lead by watching how his father leads the house — not with volume or control, but with steadiness. Calm under pressure. Willing to say sorry first.

Give him small responsibilities and let him fail at them safely, at home, where the stakes are low and the correction is loving. That's where real leadership gets built.
