The Discipline of Gratitude
Thankfulness as a practice, not a feeling.

Gratitude is usually talked about as a feeling — something you either happen to have on a good day, or don't. But Scripture treats it more like a discipline. 'Give thanks in all circumstances' isn't a suggestion for when it's easy.
Try writing down three specific things every night, not vague categories like 'family' but specific moments — a text that came at the right time, a meal that tasted good, a problem that resolved itself quietly. Specificity is what makes gratitude stick.
Practiced daily, it doesn't just change your mood. It changes what you're scanning for. You start noticing the good in real time, not just in hindsight.
